How To Listen

There are several ways to listen to 2CBD.

In the Glen Innes area, tune your radio to 105.9 FM

In the Deepwater area, tune your radio to 91.1 FM

Listen Online

To listen to 2CBD online on your computer, tablet or smartphone:

  1. Go to our website (www.radio2cbd.com.au)
  2. In the top right hand corner of the home page, click on the “Play” button in the audio player
  3. Make sure that the volume on your device is turned up
  4. The 2CBD online stream should start playing.  Please note that it can take a minute or two for the stream to start playing

Smartphone or Tablet

The best way to listen to 2CBD on your phone or tablet is to download the Community Radio Plus app.  The app is free and available from the App Store or Google Play.  You can easily listen to 2CBD and other community radio stations around the country, no matter where you are.  Click here to download

Tips To Improve Radio Reception

Do you find that you have trouble hearing 2CBD FM clearly? There’s a few possible reasons for this. However the most common cause of poor reception for some listeners is the distance from our transmitter.

You can try to improve the signal you receive by trying some of the following tips:

• Place your radio near a window, and point the antenna toward our transmitter.

• If you use a radio that is plugged in to mains power, try tuning in on a battery powered radio instead. If the signal is better on the battery powered radio, this may mean that the electrical cable on your mains powered radio is poorly insulated or damaged.

• Try tuning in to 2CBD FM on a portable radio outside your house. If you get better reception outside, this may mean that there is electrical interference caused by a household appliance or electrical wiring.

• If you have an outdoor tv aerial, unplug the aerial cable from the tv and connect this to your radio. If this improves your radio reception, you can purchase an inexpensive device called a “splitter” which will allow you to use the aerial cable for your TV and radio as well.
